Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe are Seattle sports legends, Queen Anne residents, and the grand marshals for the 2024 Seattle Pride Parade. On June 30, the parade rolled down 4th Ave to Seattle Center with Bird and Rapinoe greeting fans along the way. In a press release, Seattle Pride Executive Director Patti Hearn said, “These two exceptional women are champions in their respective sports, champions for the queer community, and role models for future generations of LGBTQIA+ leaders.”
