Local community councils hosting District 36 candidates forum

The Magnolia and Queen Anne community councils are hosting an open virtual forum for candidates running for the state Legislature District 36 representative Position 1.

The forum will take place at 6 p.m. June 15 via Zoom. People interested in attending should register through SignUp, https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/927035663469546077/false#/invitation, prior to 3 p.m. the day of the event, which is when registration will close.

At the forum, candidates will be asked to share their positions on different subjects that will inform their decisions if elected.

Candidates running for the position are: Elizabeth Tyler Crone, Julia G. Reed, Jeff Manson, Waylon Robert and Nicole D. Gomez.

Candidates are seeking to fill the position currently held by Rep. Noel Frame, who opted to run for the state Senate position which will be vacated by Sen. Reuven Carlyle, who chose to not run again.
