Community invited to meet 36th Legislative District candidates

Community members are invited to a 36th Legislative District candidate happy hour event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. June 15 at Pacific Fisherman Shipyard, 5351 24th Ave N.W. The cost is $30, and tickets include appetizers and beverages.

Community members are invited to meet the candidates running for 36th District of the Washington state Legislature. District 36 state senator candidates running to replace outgoing state Sen. Reuven Carlyle, Noel Frame and Kate Martin, both Democrats will speak. State representative position 1 candidates, running to fill Frame’s vacant seat, who will speak are Waylon Robert, Julia G. Reed, Nicole D. Gomez, Jeff Manson and Elizabeth Tyler Crone, all of whom are running as Democrats. State Rep. Liz Berry, who is running unopposed to keep to her position 2 seat, will speak. Seattle City Councilmembers Andrew Lewis and Dan Strauss will attend, as well.

The event is sponsored by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, American Waterways Operators, The Ballard Alliance, North Seattle Industrial Association, Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, Seattle Marine Business Coalition, Seattle Propeller Club and Washington Maritime Federation are all sponsors.
