Flor Valenciano Gonio passed away on February 5, 2022 at 8:10 a.m. in Seattle, Washington. She was born on December 29, 1939 in Naga City, Philippines, and immigrated to Seattle on July 4th, 1978. She has been a resident of the Magnolia Neighborhood of Seattle for 27 years where she taught at Lawton Elementary School for over 20 years. Flor was a voracious reader, dedicated educator, mother, wife, and grandmother. Her deep Catholic faith was evident in her passionate commitment to community service and charity work. You would often find her at the Queen Anne Food Bank with her daughters, grandchildren and close friends serving the community through their volunteer work. Flor Gonio was preceded in death by her first husband, Reynaldo De Jesus Gonio and her second husband, Joseph Sullivan. She is survived by her four children, their spouses and her five grandchildren.
