KeyArena on agenda for Uptown Alliance meeting

Representatives from the Oak View Group will present the latest design concepts for the redevelopment of KeyArena at an Uptown Alliance meeting on Tuesday evening.

The meeting — which starts at 7 p.m. in the basement of St. Paul's Episcopal Church (15 Roy St.) — will also give the community a chance to weigh in on those plans and engage with project architects from DLR Group and Swift Company, before the Seattle Design Commission meets on Jan. 18.

OVG and the City of Seattle signed a Memorandum of Understanding in December on the $600 million redevelopment plan for the aging venue, with the hope of luring professional hockey and men's basketball to town.

Those planning to attend Tuesday's meeting are advised to enter through the green gate on Roy Street.
