36th District legislators host town hall Saturday

Before heading to Olympia for the start of the legislative session next week, the 36th District delegation will host a town hall meeting in Queen Anne on Saturday afternoon.

State Sen. Reuven Carlyle, and Reps. Gael Tarleton and Noel Frame will be at Coe Elementary School (2424 7th Ave. W.) from 2 to 3:30 p.m. to discuss the issues they'll face in the upcoming session, and take questions from constituents.

The Democrats enter 2018 with majorities in both chambers, after Manka Dhingra's 45th District special election victory in November gave them a one-seat edge in the Senate. With that new majority, Carlyle will serve as chair of the senate's Energy, Environment & Technology Committee.

The 36th District includes all of Queen Anne and Magnolia, in addition to Ballard, Greenwood, and Belltown.
