UPDATED: Arena design open house set for March 24

As plans for the redevelopment of KeyArena race forward — along with an effort to secure an NHL expansion franchise to play in it — the Oak View Group has announced an open house set for next month to update the public on their latest progress.

The free event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. (rescheduled from an earlier time in the day) at the Seattle Center Pavilion (north of the skate park at Thomas Street and Second Avenue North) on March 24.

Attendees are encouraged to share their favorite arena experiences, and brainstorm what the future of the venue should look like, with a focus on issues of social equity, engagement with arts and culture, and how a renovated Key will integrate into Seattle Center and the surrounding neighborhood and community.
