Church of Scientology hosts community open house Tuesday

Gerald Apple, coordinating secretary for the Washington Traffic Safety Education Association will speak about the effects of marijuana and driving, the changes he's seen since legalization in Washington State, and the importance of education as the last avenue of prevention.

The event starts with a reception and refreshments at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. The Red Ribbon campaign dates back to the 1980s, and is both the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country.
