Homicide detectives investigating after Interbay shooting

One dead of apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound

Seattle Police detectives are investigating after an early morning shooting left a 70-year-old-man dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his wife with a single wound to the face.

According to SPD, shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday officers responded to an apartment in the 3000 block of 14th Avenue West, after a woman called 911 to report she was bleeding from the face. Medics from the Seattle Fire Department transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, while her husband was found dead in the apartment. The woman's condition is not known.

Though homicide detectives are investigating, police say it appears there were no other people involved in the incident.
