Meeting set on Queen Anne Elementary renovations

Plans to renovate and build an addition to Queen Anne Elementary will be the topic of discussion at a second public meeting on July 20 at 6 p.m.

The Seattle School District has sought a trio of departures to current zoning regulations, regarding lot coverage, parking, and on-street bus loading and unloading.

During the meeting, the district will give a presentation on these requested modifications, and there will be time for public comment (those received at the first meeting on June 6 will also be taken into consideration).

The Queen Anne Elementary School Development Standards Departure Advisory Committee — comprised of neighbors, and representatives from both the school district and the city — will then deliberate and consider the requests.

Written comments can be submitted by July 18 via email to Maureen.Sheehan@seattle.gov or to the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, P.O. Box 94649, Seattle, WA 98124-4649.
