Queen Anne shooting leaves one dead; suspect in custody

A 29-year old woman was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Queen Anne, and a 31-year old has been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.

According to Seattle Police, just after midnight on Sunday, police and fire units were dispatched to West McGraw Place and Second Avenue West after receiving a report that a man had just shot a woman in a car. 

When officers arrived, they found the woman in the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. She was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where she later died.

Police arrested the male suspect nearby without further incident, and he was interviewed by homicide detectives before being booked into jail.
