Plans for the former Teatro ZinZanni site will go before the West Design Review Board early next month.
The latest proposal for one eight-story and one seven-story building — with more than 250 apartments and just over 9,000 square feet of street-level retail space — at 225 Roy St. will be discussed at a recommendation phase meeting on Jan. 3 at the Queen Anne Community Center, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The project was last presented to the board during early design guidance in April, with the most notable change being the removal of one floor from the building planned along Roy Street. The objectives for the project — as presented in the design packet — are to, “engage and strengthen the public realm, introduce urbane and timeless architecture that will enrich the neighborhood, and make a positive contribution to the built environment of Uptown.”
barrientos RYAN is the development firm behind the project, with GGLO serving as project architects.
