Police search for suspect in Uptown robberies

Seattle Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect sought in connection with a pair of robberies late last month.

A little after 7 p.m. on Nov. 26, a clerk at a market at the intersection of Third Avenue West and Western Avenue called 911 to report his store had just been robbed at knifepoint. He told police the suspect had displayed a knife in his waistband, and demanded money from the register. The suspect did not make off with any cash — the clerk responded to the demand by backing away — but did pilfer a bottle of wine on his way out.

He did, however, come away with money a short time later at a nearby hotel, after threatening a woman working at the front desk. He then fled on foot.

Anyone with information on the two robberies or the suspect are asked to contact SPD detectives at 206-684-5537.
