Queen Anne’s newest retirement community opened its doors to the community this past weekend for its grand opening celebration.
A pair of cast members from the PBS show “Downton Abbey,” — Lesley Nicol, who plays Mrs. Patmore, and Raquel Cassidy, who plays Baxter — were on hand for the ribbon cutting at Aegis of Queen Anne at Rodgers Park (2900 Third Ave. W.) on Saturday, along with Aegis Living CEO Dwayne Clark.
Those who attended the open house had a chance to meet the actors, and tour the new 129-room development, the biggest of 28 Aegis communities in Washington, California, and Nevada.
