Third Avenue West closure this weekend

Third Avenue West between West Dravus Street and West Florentia Street will be closed this weekend, as crews conduct excavating and paving work.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 3) and Sunday (Dec. 4), workers from the Seattle Department of Transportation and Seattle Public Utilities will close the street to traffic in both directions, and no parking will be allowed in the work zone.

Detours will be in place for drivers, and King County Metro Route 13 will also be rerouted during the day, with a temporary terminal at Queen Anne Avenue North and West McGraw Street. For a full list of missed stops, go to metro.kingcounty.gov/alerts/pdf/16-013-xx_3AvWClosed_Dec3_4.pdf.

Flaggers and uniformed police officers will help direct traffic during the closure.

Those living along that stretch of Third Avenue West will be able to exit and enter their driveways, but could be subject to delays waiting for equipment to clear.
