Cruising the Village

Dozens of classic and vintage cars lined two full blocks of West McGraw Street on Saturday, for the annual Magnolia Village Car Show. Eric Berge, owner of Werner’s Crash Shop, has sponsored the event in conjunction with the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce since 2008, resurrecting a popular event that had gone on hiatus for several years prior.

The wide array of vehicles, from hot rods to muscle cars and everything in between, brought out hundreds of interested residents, along with the adjacent crowd from the Magnolia Farmers Market.

Many participants — each of whom paid a $20 entrance fee to show off their cars — added extra touches to grab the attention of the crowd.

On Friday night, many of the vehicles participated in a cruise around Magnolia, giving people a chance to see cars often tucked away in a garage out on the streets and in action.
