The Queen Anne Little League Majors All-Star team earned a spot in last month’s state tournament as one of the top 13 teams in Washington, after winning the District 8 tournament earlier in July.
Along with Queen Anne and Magnolia, District 8 includes all five leagues in North Seattle, and further northward into Shoreline, Bothell, Kenmore, and Woodinville.
The team ultimately went 1-2 in the state tournament, including a 12-0 win over Sedro-Wooley — the District 11 champions — but was eliminated.
The team was managed by Mark Nakagawara, along with coaches Jon Rican and J.R. Ruljancich.
