LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Seized property shouldn’t benefit law enforcement

[Regarding “Legislators to update constituents during town hall,” March 4:] House Bill 1558 and Senate Bill 5041 are bills concerning seizure and forfeiture of property as a means of fining people. This money goes to law enforcement budgets.

I am against this as a fine, and especially when it goes to law enforcement budgets. That is conflict of interest. Police have too much power.
