SPU women’s track co-Team of the Week

Fresh off of winning their 10th Great Northwest Athletic Conference indoor track and field title on Feb. 21, the Seattle Pacific University women were named the conference’s co-Team of the Week for Feb. 23.

The Falcons — sparked by championship performances from Anna Patti in the 5,000 meters, Naphtali Ward in the high jump, Jahzelle Ambus in the 400 and from the 4x400 relay team of Ambus, Tasia Baldwin, Jalen Tims and Jasmine Johnson — finished with 146 points for the two-day meet in Nampa, Idaho. That was enough to beat out two-time defending champion Alaska Anchorage, which had 134 points.

Along with the four victories, the Falcons rewrote two school records and posted 11 NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks.
