12th Librarian to make noise for Seahawks game

Join the 12th Librarian and make some noise when the Central Library (1000 Fourth Ave.) shows the Seahawks-Panthers NFC Divisional playoff game at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, on the big screen in the library’s Microsoft Auditorium. Everyone is welcome.

Free tickets for seats will be available beginning at 4 p.m. at the auditorium entrance near the escalators. Auditorium doors will open for seating for ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 4:45 p.m. The auditorium can accommodate about 275 people.

Although the Central Library closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday, people in the auditorium can stay until the game ends; the rest of the library will close at 6 p.m. Staff will let additional patrons into the building after closing to watch the game if there is available seating.

Parking will be available in the Central Library garage for $7 and will remain open until the game is over.

“No one will be shushed” for cheering,” said City Librarian Marcellus Turner.

The library will provide free Seahawk promotional items (limited availability). Library staff members will get into the spirit by wearing their Seahawks jerseys. For more information, call the library at (206) 386-4636.
