The event will give students an opportunity to get first-hand experience drawing and designing. The program will begin with a tour of Fremont to examine how art is incorporated into buildings and the neighborhood. Students will then choose a building or a section of Fremont as the subject of their design project. At the conclusion of the program, all participants will present their concept to the community.
The program, sponsored by Magnolia-based Roosterwax, will take place on three Sundays (Oct. 5 through 19), from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Fremont Library (731 N. 35th St.)
Participation in the design studio is free, but students must register in advance at www.roosterwax.com.
