Library book sale this weekend

The Friends of The Seattle Public Library will have its big fall book sale this weekend. More than 150,000 items — including of nonfiction, fiction, children’s books, CDs and DVDs — will be available for purchase.

The sale will take place in Magnuson Park’s Building 30 (7400 Sand Point Way N.E.) on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All items will be half-off on Sunday.

Friends of The Seattle Public Library members may preview the sale on Friday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. No scanners, cell phones or any other electronic devices used to seek information about books are allowed during this time. Scanners will be allowed during public sale hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Parking will be available in the east side of parking lot W6, all along 62nd Avenue Northeast and in the parking lot east of E5 that’s accessible off of Northeast 65th Street.
