Umbrella Tree to open in Twirl Cafe location

Twirl Cafe owner Rebecca Pelletier has announced she is closing her business on Oct. 31. Umbrella Tree, an education studio, will open in the space to offer classes and services for children up to age 5 and their parents. Umbrella Tree will officially take over the space on Nov. 1 and feature an open house celebration in early December.

Owners Arlene Sargeant, Louise Books and Kelly Singer have been offering classes at Twirl Cafe since January of this year, in play, education, wellness, community and home. It will also offer birthday parties and drop-in play in the “Umbrella Room” playspace.

Twirl Cafe will honor outstanding gift certificates, punch cards and other credits until Oct. 31; questions about credits may be sent to info@twirlcafe.com

The last day to play at Twirl Cafe will be Oct. 31. Pelletier plans to have trick-or-treating during Queen Anne’s annual “Halloween on the Ave” event. Community members and customers are invited to attend and say farewell.
