Thalia Symphony celebrates Chopin

Seattle Pacific University's orchestra-in-residence, Thalia Symphony, will perform at 7:30 pm., Friday, April 9, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Frederic Chopin's birth.
The repertoire includes Berlioz's Overture to "Judges of the Secret Court," Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1, and Nielsen's Symphony No. 2 "The Four Temperaments."
Conducted by SPU professor of music, Eric Hanson, it features local guest pianist Gorge Fiore, formerly of the Seattle Symphony and the Seattle Opera.
The concert will be held at First Free Methodist Church at 3200 Third Ave. W. adjacent to the SPU campus.
