Successful Schools in Action hires new development director

Successful Schools in Action (SSIA), a nonprofit organization working in partnership with the seven public schools in Queen Anne and Magnolia, has announced that Christine Segat has joined the organization as development director. With more than 18 years of nonprofit and fundraising experience, Segat brings volunteer management, strategic planning, and fundraising skills to the organization. She brings great passion and energy for public schools, strong community connections, and a commitment to help build SSIA programs and strengthen our partnerships," says SSIA's Executive Director, Lisa Moore
SSIA is in its seventh year of providing student programs, staff support, and family engagement opportunities under its collaborative model. SSIA works closely with schools to ensure the programs and services it provides address student and family needs and align with school goals. Current programs include: academic support for struggling students, debate club, art classes, and a broad array of educational opportunities for students, families and staff, including curriculum workshops, peer learning conversations, and a speakers bureau.
