Barry Garner, Price Hardman and Kevin Baumler were each installed as Eagle Scouts in a ceremony presided over by former Washington Governor Gary Locke, himself an Eagle Scout.
Hardman's dad, who knows Locke, asked if the former politician and Queen Anne resident was available and he was.
Garner's father, local lawyer Michael Garner, said his son has always been into scouting. "There was something Barry saw or read when he was in kindergarten and it just grabbed him."
Barry Garner is the only member of his family to become an Eagle Scout. He is a member of the Mountaineers, too.
