Rosamond Barrett Rochefort,   resident of Seattle, passed away on Sept. 21, 2010 after a short illness at the age of 102.
Ms. Rochefort was born on January 4, 1908 to Samuel Edward Barrett and Ella Wallace Barrett in Bellingham. She attended the University of Washington and returned to Bellingham, where she lived until 1939 when she was married to Quentin Rochefort and moved to Seattle.
Ms. Rochefort was an active member in PEO, the Mount Baker Hiking Club, the Mount Baker Ski Club, St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bellingham and the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Seattle.  She loved the mountains and the family home on Orcas Island. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Rochefort, her brothers, Wallace Barrett and Gordon Barrett and her son in-law Greg Douville.  She is survived by her son, Dr. Barrett Rochefort, his wife Debra and her daughter, Patricia Douville  all of Seattle, grandsons Coral Douville of San Francisco, Teal Douville and  Gabriel Rochefort of Seattle and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  A memorial service will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16.
