American Meter and Appliance men's softball team won the 2010 softball championship played at Green Lake this past Monday night.
Most of the players on the team are long time Queen Anne residents and local business owners.
After easily winning the 2009 championship the team had a bigger challenge this year after getting off to a slow start, with several rain outs and early season losses.
It all came together in the playoffs by outscoring their opponents 66-10 in three playoff games.
Local business owners Chris Togawa (CTIA Insurance), George O'Connor (Ken's Market), and Jim Merlino (American Meter and Appliance) have been loyal supporters of Queen Anne athletics for many years . Long time residents Mike Vizzare, John Vizzare, Joe Moriarty, Rick Smith, and Duke Vogt also play on the team.[[In-content Ad]]
