Appeals are made to the Office of the Hearing Examiner, Seattle Municipal Tower, 40th Floor (SMT-40-00), 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 4000, Seattle, WA 98104. Appeals must be accompanied by a $50 filing fee in a check payable to the City of Seattle.

Permit applications

3404 23RD AVE. W. (3016065) for a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into three unit lots. The construction of residential units is being reviewed under Project No. 6366977. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. (Environmental review conducted under project No. 3015457.) The following approval is required: Short Subdivision to create three unit lots. Water Availability Certificate may be needed but was not included in this application. Written comments accepted through Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Permit decisions

142 W. FLORENTIA ST. (3015231) on a Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into eight unit lots. The construction of residential units was reviewed under Project No. 6335824. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. The following appealable decision has been made based on submitted plans: Short Subdivision to create eight unit lots conditionally granted. The hearing examiner must receive appeals of this decision no later than Tuesday, Sept. 17. 

Design reviews

2249 14TH AVE. W. (3015446) for two three-story townhouse structures (one three-unit and one two-unit for a total of five units). Below-grade parking for five vehicles to be provided within the structures. Existing structures to be demolished.

OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMENT

The DPD director will accept written comments to assist in the preparation of the early design guidance through Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013. Comments are welcome regarding important site planning and design issues that should be addressed in the design for this project. This is the only opportunity to comment on this proposal. Comments should be submitted to PRC@seattle.gov or City of Seattle, DPD, PRC, 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 2000, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019.

Following the public comment period, the DPD will issue a written design guidance report. This report will consider public comment and the applicable citywide and neighborhood specific Design Guidelines and will serve as the basis for further review of the building permit. Once the applicant has incorporated the design guidance into the proposal they may apply for a building permit. No public notice of the building-permit application will be provided.
