Donate kitchen, household items at farmers market

The Queen Anne Farmers Market, which will close on Thursday, July 4, will partner with the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org/us-program/us-seattle-wa) to collect gently used and new kitchen and small household items for refugee families on July 11. 

Blankets, sheets, shower curtains, towels and some small electronics such as DVD players, radios and Foreman grills are accepted. 

Clothing and larger items such as furniture are not accepted. 

This will take place in the Event Tent, located at the market entrance, from 3 to 7 p.m. 

The Queen Anne Farmers Market is usually open Thursdays, from 3 to 7:30 p.m., until Oct. 31, at West Crockett Street and Queen Anne Avenue North.
