City of Music Career Day tomorrow

From keynote speaker John Richards (KEXP) to panelists like Hollis Wong-Wear (The Flavr Blue, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis), Geo (Blue Scholars), Josh Rosenfeld (Barsuk Records), Jason Hughes (Sonic Boom), Christen Greene (Onto Entertainment), Ali Hedrick (The Billions Corporation) and Tim Bierman (Pearl Jam, Ten Club), The City of Music’s Career Day highlights the broad spectrum of opportunities.

This free event — specially designed for high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in the music industry — is presented by One Reel, the producers of Bumbershoot.

Career Day takes place Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Seattle Center (Cornish Playhouse, The Vera Project, Northwest Rooms). It includes a welcome address from The Office of Film + Music’s James Keblas and keynote address from Richards, breakout sessions, a Meet & Eat lunch, and live performances and interviews with Katie Kate, Dave B, Naomi Wachira, and Troy Nelson and Mackenzie Mercer from the Young Evils.
