Magnolia Chorale’s 35th anniversary concerts on May 4-5 were a hit! With full houses for both the Saturday Evening Gala and the Sunday Matinee concert, the Chorale sang audiences down memory lane with favorites from past decades and a few new additions. The range of music reflected the group’s long history of performing a broad range of musical styles from classical, to pop, to gospel, and more.

Those in attendance included past music directors, assistant directors, singers, and board members—some attended both concerts. It was clear that even those who are no longer active members have fond memories of their time with the Chorale. And, judging from the standing ovation, the audience shared that sentiment.

Magnolia Chorale goes on hiatus over the summer and will resume rehearsals in September. New members are welcome. Go to magnoliachorale.org for more details.
