The Seattle World's Vintage Fair, a captivating weekend experience for vintage enthusiasts and fans of classic Pacific Northwest history, is set to take place on Aug.3-4 at the Exhibition Hall in Seattle Center, 301 Mercer St., Seattle.
Organized by Por Vida NW, Throwbacks Northwest, and legendary Seattle Sonics player Shawn Kemp, this event will span over 34,000 square feet and feature a diverse array of vendors offering vintage clothing, sneakers, records, memorabilia, and more.
The fair is expected to draw thousands of attendees over two days, creating a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere that appeals to a broad demographic. The whole weekend promises to be the place to be on an idyllic Pacific Northwest weekend, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Wheedle on the Needle 50th Birthday Celebration: Join us in celebrating the 50th birthday of the iconic Wheedle on the Needle! Esteemed author Stephen Cosgrove will be onsite signing copies of the classic children's book that swept the nation half a decade ago. The Wheedle also served as the mascot for the Seattle Sonics in their one and only NBA Championship season in 1979. Additionally, a new Wheedle book, the final installment in the beloved series, will debut exclusively at the fair. An adorable Wheedle costumed character will roam the event, providing delightful photo opportunities and autographs, creating an immersive and memorable experience for all attendees. The celebration will also feature regional mascots and a colossal 50th-anniversary cake.
Legendary Sonics Player Shawn Kemp: We are thrilled to announce that legendary Sonics player Shawn Kemp will be joining us for both days of the fair. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and photos with Kemp, as well as purchase exclusive, limited-edition Shawn Kemp merchandise available only at the event.
Make It Reign Slam Dunk Contest: On Sunday, Aug. 4, Shawn Kemp will present the first annual Make It Reign Slam Dunk Contest inside the Seattle World's Vintage Fair. Aspiring dunkers can sign up for a chance to win a cash prize. More details about sign-ups and the event schedule will be shared via Seattle World's Vintage Fair social media channels.
Saturday’s Preview Sale will run from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
