2023 KeyBank tennis ball roll by Rotary Club of Magnolia

On Aug. 27, Magnolia Rotary conducted the 12th annual KeyBank Tennis Ball Roll. More than 1,000 numbered tennis balls were rolled down a grassy slope east of the Magnolia Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts.

On Aug. 27, Magnolia Rotary conducted the 12th annual KeyBank Tennis Ball Roll. More than 1,000 numbered tennis balls were rolled down a grassy slope east of the Magnolia Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts. The first 20 balls in each of the five heats to settle closes to the V gate at the bottom had their ticket holder name go forward to the final heat.  
In the final heat the lucky person holding the ticket for the winning tennis ball number was the winner.
The winner was Jennifer Toby of Magnolia. Nine other ticket holders won gift card from Nutty Squirrel Gelato in Magnolia Village or Starbucks.
They received $250 and, more important, having their name added to the KeyBank Tennis Ball Roll trophy. The trophy is on display in the lobby of the KeyBank Magnolia branch.
“This is a fun event for the community”, said Bryce McWalter, current President of Magnolia Rotary, “and a great fundraiser.”
All proceeds go to our 501(c)3 Rotary Club of Magnolia Foundation. Fund are returned to the greater Magnolia community in support of youth activities, schools and non-profit organizations like the Ballard Food Bank and QA Helpline.
Magnolia Rotary has a long history of supporting the community through service and fundraising. The next event planned by the Magnolia Rotary is Shred-It scheduled for Oct. 28, in the parking lot behind KeyBank at 34th Ave W and W. McGraw St.
