The Magnolia Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome back a community favorite, the annual Halloween "Trick or Treat in the Village" event on Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 pm. Thanks to the merchants that hand out candy and our sponsor, Queen Anne Painting that helps us cover the cost of closing the main streets in Magnolia Village to make it a safe environment for all.
The Magnolia community again has already responded generously to a call for candy to help supplement merchants' costs in candy purchasing. If you want to donate, go to our online wish list to have a bag or two sent to the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce. We will distribute as needed.
Halloween pet costume contest
We are barking and purring in delight to announce our first-ever Halloween Pet Costume Contest in partnership with our Chamber members and friends at Pet Pros and VCA Animal Hospital!
The Halloween Pet Costume Contest is designed to bring your furry friend in on the spirited fun this Halloween. Celebrate the holiday cuteness of your animal family members and find the best Halloween costume you can get your paws on, be it dogs, cats, or other pets!
You can win a gift certificate of $50 up to $125!
Do you know how the Halloween Pet Costume Contest works?
Take a photo of your pet loved one in the cutest, most fierce, adorable, or scary Halloween costume.
Email a copy of a digital photo to the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce. You can drop off a printed version of your image at Pet Pros or VCA, both located in Magnolia Village (please include your name, pet’s name, and email address). The deadline for photos is 5 p.m. on Oct. 25.
An elite set of highly trained, fur-loving judges from the Magnolia Chamber will select the top five based on originality, theme, creativity, and Halloween fun.
The top five costumed pet photos will be displayed at the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce's booth between 4 and 6 p.m. on Oct. 31 in front of Windermere on W. McGraw during the Halloween in the Village Trick & Treat event. You can vote for Magnolia's Halloween Pet Costume winner at the Chamber's booth and enjoy some candy!
The winners will be announced on Nov. 3rd on our discovermagnolia.org website and Facebook and Instagram pages. They can claim their prize!
Trick or Treat on the Ave
When: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.31
Where: Queen Anne Ave between Galer St and McGraw St in Upper Queen Anne
What: Merchants along Upper Queen Anne Avenue dress up, decorate, pass out treats and maybe have some tricks, too!
