The Magnolia Music Showcase series returns featuring top-quality local singer/songwriters and musicians. The next showcase is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Oct. 20.
Hosted at Magnolia United Methodist Church (2836 34th Ave W, Seattle), showcases are all-ages and free of charge, with donations encouraged to support a featured local charity.
Performers for the evening include:
• Lucas Van Linden: A singer/songwriter whose soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics captivate audiences.
• Dax Millan: Dax’s songwriting is reminiscent of early Sufjan Stevens melodic progressions with some traces of Tracy Chapman-esque sliding riffs.
• Phono Paradiso (featuring Darbe.xoxo): This ensemble promises to deliver a mesmerizing fusion of soundscapes and vocal harmonies that will leave you spellbound.
The Oct. 20 showcase will raise funds to support the vital work of Seattle's LGBTQ Center, Gaycity.org. This organization plays a pivotal role in advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and providing essential resources and support.
This season’s showcases are scheduled for Dec. 15, Feb. 16, and April 19.
