Pictured: Construction workers continue work last week on the 21Boston site, which when finished will feature apartments and condos, as well as a bigger Safeway, along Queen Anne Avenue North.
Maria Barrientos, principal at BarrientosRyan, the developer of the project, told the Queen Anne Community Council Land Use Review Committee last week that the project schedule was delayed eight working days recently because of ice and snow but concrete work at the site should be done by February. Wood framing should be installed in April and May. ‘So, in April and May, it’s going to look like the whole building has gone up,’ Barrientos said.
This summer, interior work will begin. The tower crane at the project site won’t come down until February of 2024, and residential work will be finished in January of 2025; the store will be finished before then.
