On Saturday night, Magnolia Winterfest culminated in the annual lighting tradition at the Magnolia Garden Center. The neighborhood gathered for carol singers and a countdown to the lighting of Magnolia’s Christmas Tree. This event is a partnership between the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and local businesses with the goal of welcoming families and building community.

“On nights like Winterfest, we are reminded how wonderful our Magnolia community is,” said James Raebel, owner of the Magnolia Garden Center. Adding, “I am so grateful to continue these traditions that make the holiday season so bright and for the support of local businesses.”

James Thibeaux, the executive director of Magnolia Chamber of Commerce, stressed that the volunteers and local businesses put a lot of effort into their portion of the event in order to give back to the community that supports them throughout the year. It’s all part of their year-long ambition to support local businesses while building community. “It is a great way to end our year together,” he said.
