Rooftop Brewing Company will celebrate the release of its ImPeachMint IIPA in 16-ounce cans at its North Queen Anne tasting room on Thursday. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer throughout the month of January will be donated to the Queen Anne Helpline and Fair Fight 2020.
The ImPeachMint release is part of Rooftop’s ongoing Beer Trumps Hate (BTH) campaign, which started in 2017 to support nonprofits and celebrate a love of beer “in response to the negative rhetoric pervasive in the national political environment,” according to a news release. The Dec. 19 release party will include swag giveaways and more opportunities to donate to local nonprofits.
Queen Anne Helpline provides emergency financial support to ensure people don’t become homeless. The nonprofit also operates a food pantry and provides clothing to those in need.
Fair Fight 2020 is focused on protecting voters rights in next year’s election, free of foreign interference.
Rooftop co-founder Craig Christian tells Queen Anne News all profits from the sales of BTH products — including stickers and T-shirts — are donated. The Helpline and Fair Fight 2020 will each receive 50 percent of the proceeds from this campaign.
Rooftop Brewing Company's taproom is at 1220 W. Nickerson St.
