Failed Robbery
At approximately 7 p.m. on March 25, a woman called 911 to report she’d been assaulted while walking to work, about two hours prior.
She said she’d been crossing the street in the 1600 block of Fourth Avenue North when a car pulled up alongside her, and two men wearing ski masks jumped out.
One of the suspects hit her in the side of the head multiple times with a blunt object; possibly a broken off table leg or a golf club. The second suspect tried to grab her shoulder bag.
The victim fought the suspects off by kicking and screaming while holding tight to her bag. The suspects reached into her bag and pulled some of her belongings out, including her lunch bag and a work folder, but eventually gave up and got back in the car and fled the scene.
The victim gathered her belongings from the sidewalk and continued on to work. Once she arrived she took inventory of her bag and realized her apartment keys were missing.
Responding officers advised the victim to call 911 right away after an incident like this, and to have her apartment locks changed.

The homeowner told police the burglary took place sometime between midnight on March 19 and midnight on the 21st.
He said he believed the suspect picked the lock on his front door. Once inside the suspect rummaged around the house and stole two flutes, two plaques and approximately 30 stuffed teddy bears.
The victim also stated his mail had been looked through and left strewn about, and one of his vans had been prowled.
Smashed Window
Just after 10:15 a.m. on March 18, a passerby called 911 to report the glass door to a business located in the 900 block of Elliot Avenue West was broken out.
Police called the business owner, who stated he was in Wenatchee but said he would send an employee to the scene. The employee stated he wasn’t sure if anything was missing.
Officers noticed two desks had computer mice but no computers. One of the outlets near the desks was damaged, as if someone had yanked a cord out.
