When an elderly loved one falls, it often leaves families scrambling to find assisted living services, especially if the recovery requires hospitalization.
Aegis Living, which has two locations in Queen Anne, is raising awareness about the types of documents, discussions and important decisions that are needed before a senior-care crisis hits. It created a Crisis File that contains a free checklist to the public.
Many documents on the checklist are state-required and require calls or meetings with physicians, pharmacies and attorneys to gather.
Staff at Aegis of Queen Anne on Galer (223 W. Galer St.) have the checklist and documents available; call (206) 285-1106 for more information.
