On May 6, in Maggie Larrick's review of Mozart's "ingenious" opera, "The Marriage of Figaro," praise is given to Christine Brandes for doing justice to a "masterpiece" that first premiered in 1786. Two centuries later, Seattle Opera produced "Figaro" to much applause from the arts community.
