Queen Anne second grader Katie Chao won a silver medal at the recent West Coast Open International Martial Arts Championships held Oct. 2 at Tahoma High School in Tacoma. Competing in the 8-9 Year Old Advanced Division, Katie, the youngest competitor in her division, won second place in Kata. Katie competes for the Washington Karate Association Bellevue and attends Seattle Country Day School.[[In-content Ad]]
