Ruth Mae (Hein) Fakler was born July 3, 1912 in Janesville, Minn. and died May 10, 2009 in Edmonds, Wash.
Ms. Fakler was the daughter of Otto and Clara Hein and youngest sister of Irene Hollo (Raymond), Mabel Christensen (Harold), Willard Hein (Esther), and Clarence
Hein (Alice), and wife of Robert H. Fakler, all predeceased her.
Ms. Fakler and husband, Bob, were married in Rochester, Minn. and came to Washington in 1944 where they later worked in the restaurant business. They owned the Mickey Fritz Grill in Magnolia for more than 20 years. Weekends always found them on their boat, Mickey Fritz, which they enjoyed year round.
After retiring the couple managed Taylor Towers Apartments on Queen Anne hill for a few years.
Survivors include daughter, Phylis Jorgenson (Darrell), son Robert A. Fakler (Marilyn), granddaughter Amanda Baldwin (Eric), grandson Robert J. Fakler (Marlinda), great-grandchildren Alex and Elaina, cousins and friends.
