Police found the suspect exiting an alley near the scene. He was taken into custody and a witness identified him. He had a laceration on his forehead. He first told police it was from falling on the metal edge of a curb, and then he said the victim had tried to rob him.

The woman, who describes herself as a punk rocker, told police that the driver was nice at first. But when she realized he was driving up Queen Anne Hill, instead of going to Capitol Hill, she demanded he let her out of the car. The man refused.

The victim said she tried getting out of the car when it stopped at red lights and stop signs, but the man grabbed a hold of her leather jacket by the collar. The woman said she began screaming and continued to try to get out of the car.

When the car reached a 7 Eleven located in the 1500 block of Queen Anne North she finally was able to escape. She said the man was still holding on to the collar of her jacket, but she elbowed him several times in the head until he let her go.

A witness told police he saw the woman fighting to get out of the car. He had been standing in front of the 7 Eleven. When he saw her struggling he yelled for her to run to him.

The suspect drove off in a hurry, but later returned to the scene. He then drove off in a hurry again heading northbound. Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.
