Maria Luisa Clark, a longtime Magnolia resident, passed away after a long illness on Feb. 19, at home. Mrs. Clark was 81.
Mrs. Clark was born on Jul. 11, 1928 in Canlubang-Calamba, Philippines and emigrated to the U.S. in 1956. She met her husband, Edwin Clark and was married in 1958. They lived in Forks, WA until moving to Magnolia in 1967.
Mrs. Clark worked in the Federal Government in variety of departments including, the National Health Service Corps, assigning doctors and nurses to underserved areas of Washington and Alaska, until her retirement in 1990.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her father-in-law, Claude Clark, her five children, Michael, Arlene, Vicky, Colleen and Eddie; her daughters-in-law, Susan Smith and Joey Watters; son-in-law, Nathan Weiss and her five grandchildren, Jessica Granlund, Christian Granlund, Ian Clark, Riley Clark and Kylee Clark. Mrs. Clark is also survived by her sisters, Belinda Steele, Ermelinda San Juan and Rosalinda San Juan, sisters-in-law, Patricia San Juan and Linda San Juan and an extended family.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Mar. 1 at 10:30 a.m. Donations to the Northwest Kidney Centers Foundation can be made in lieu of flowers.[[In-content Ad]]
