Katie Chao of Queen Anne continued her winning ways by taking first and second place trophies at the recent Washington State Invitational Karate Championships held May 8 at Edmonds Community College. Competing in the 7-year-old advance division, Katie won first place in the Kata and second place in the Kumite (fighting). Katie competes for the Washington Karate Association Bellevue and attends Seattle Country Day School.[[In-content Ad]]
