United Indians event
United Indians of All Tribes Foundation will host a benefit concert at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30 to raise funds and awareness for the organization's 40th anniversary celebration scheduled for March 2010. Talented performers from all over Indian Country will perform, as United Indians kicks off its activities to commemorate the historic takeover of Ft. Lawton.

American Red Cross is Recruiting
ReserveCorps Volunteers
This year there is the potential for significant flooding in the Green River Valley so the American Red Cross Serving King & Kitsap Counties is looking for individuals to become trained now as a ReserveCorps shelter volunteer so they will be ready to respond during flood season.
