Bridle Trails

EQUESTRIANS - MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The King County Executive Horse Council (KCEHC) and Lake Washington Saddle Club (LWSC), along with other local equestrian organizations, are teaming up to hold a joint event on March 31. The event is being held at two separate locations that are not far from each other in Kirkland. LWSC is holding a tack/gear sale to help pay for renovation of the indoor arena at the new Acheson property at Bridle Trails State Park. They are actively seeking direct donations/contributions of tack, gear and any and all horse-related stuff that they can sell and keep all the proceeds. They are also taking consignment items with 20 percent of the sale as a donation for the cause. So we encourage you to clean out your tack trunk and donate whatever you can to this great cause - then be sure to attend and buy something new! And remember, if you can't donate your gear entirely, you can register for consignment and receive 80 percent of the sale price.

However, it is March, with her devious ways, and all too soon, the wind whips up a fury that drives me back indoors to the dreaded list. The winds blow and I stare longingly at my garden through raindrop mosaics on the windows

Similarly, we are finely tuned to maintain our own well being
