Warehouse BurglaryOn June 23 police responded to reports of a burglary at a businesslocated in the 3200 block of 17 Avenue West at 8:11 a.m. Upon arrivalresponding officers spoke with an employee who said that when he hadarrived to work at 5:30 a.m. he noticed a few things out of place inthe office. He checked the warehouse and found more things out ofplace, leading him to believe someone had broken in.

Luella Elizabeth Gilje passed away peacefully on June 12, at the age of 86.Ms. Gilje was born March 30, 1924 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She spent her early years growing up in Sioux City, Iowa. In March 1945 Luella married Chief Petty Officer Earl S. Robinson Sr. Mr. Robinson was a career Navy man and they travelled throughout the United States, Cuba and to Guam, having three children along the way. Traveling from Maryland, California, Rhode Island, Cuba and then to Guam, the latter where her parents, Henry and Mabel Schimberg, had lived since 1949. Ms. Gilje and Mr. Robinson divorced on Guam.

A new friend asked me the other day how many famous people I have met during my 30-plus years behind a typewriter. It's an interesting question because I learned the hard way that in our celebrity-driven culture, everybody cares about famous people to some degree.
